KATHMANDU, June 2: Nepal will compete against Thailand today in the second friendly match. The game will kick off at 4:45 pm (local time) at Thailand’s home ground, Thammasat Stadium.
Nepal has lost the first friendly match, held behind closed doors, by a margin of 1-0.

Nepal is playing friendly matches in Thailand as a preparation for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026 qualifiers, which begin on May 4. Nepal is in Group ‘F’ alongside Laos, Sri Lanka, and Uzbekistan.
A total of 34 teams have been divided into eight groups for the qualifiers. Six of these groups, including the one with Nepal, consist of four teams, while the remaining two groups have five teams each. The qualifiers will be hosted in Cambodia, Indonesia, Jordan, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
Group winners will advance to the final round, scheduled from March 1 to 26, 2026, where they will compete against China, South Korea, and Japan. China is the defending champion.
