According to the tournament fixture published by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on its official website on Monday, Nepal has been drawn along with India, Pakistan and Afghanistan in Group A in the 50-over format event. [break]
Similarly, group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the UAE and Singapore. Test nations India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will field their U-23 teams in the tournament.
Nepal will start its campaign against Afghanistan on August 17, play against India on August 20 and meet Pakistan a day later. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals.
The top three teams of the ACC Trophy Elite Cup held in October 2012 were given chance to compete in the event. Nepal and the UAE had finished joint winners in the tournament following a tie in the final. Afghanistan had finished third.
Singapore secured berth as the host. The tournament is being organized for the first time by ACC.
