DHADING, May 21: Nepal Student Union, a student wing of Nepali Congress, has enforced strike in Dhadingbesi in protest of scuffle with CPN-UML cadres that occurred at Ukhubari of Maidi on Saturday evening.

All the shops in the district headquarters of Dhading district are closed since Sunday morning. No vehicular movement both out of and into the district headquarters has been seen.

Nepali Congress leader Ram Nath Adhikari has warned of carrying out further protest programs if the persons allegedly involved in scuffle with UML cadres are not brought to justice by noon.

“Only students have called strike so far. We will carry out strong movements if they are not arrested by 12 pm”.

The scuffle occurred as UML cadres threw stones at NC cadres who were returning after participating in victory mass meeting organized in Jwalamukhi Rural Municipality.

As many as 10 persons-5 from NC and 5 from UML- were injured in the incident.
