Nepal should be known to the world through Newari culture: Prakashman Singh

KATHMANDU, Dec 8: A key leader of the Nepali Congress (NC) and member of the House of Representatives from Kathmandu-1,  Prakashman Singh has said that Nepal should be known to the world through the Newari culture.

Speaking at a program organized by the Jyapu Culture Development Trust on the occasion of the 19th National Jyapu Day in Kathmandu on Thursday, Singh said that foreigners should be introduced to Nepal through the Newari culture.

He mentioned that the Newari culture is a powerful means of introducing Nepal to the world and said that everyone should pay attention to it. Singh said that the identity of Newars is the identity of the language and that the Newari language should also be emphasized and promoted.
