KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Nepal set a 218-run target against the Netherlands in the second match of fourth round of the ICC World Cricket League Championship held at the VRA Ground in Amstelveen on Monday.
Sent in to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal made 217 runs losing nine wickets in the alloted 50 overs.

Skipper Paras Khadka top-scored with 84 runs including 1 six and 7 fours off 94 balls, Gyanendra Malla hit 39 runs including 1 six and 1 four off 52 balls while Sagar Pun made 45 runs including 2 fours off 78 balls.
Electing to field after winning the toss, Netherlander cricketer Michael Rippon grabbed 4 wickets giving away 35 runs. Similarly, Ahsan Malik took 2 wickets while Vivian Kingma, Paul van Meekeren, Roelof van der Merwe snatched away 1 wicket each.
The Netherlands had defeated Nepal by seven wickets in the first match played on Saturday.
The match is crucial for sixth placed Nepal to achieve its goal of a top-four finish which will serve as a gateway for the 2019 World Cup Qualifiers. Thus, Nepal cannot afford to drop points against the Netherlands, which leads the table.
