KATHMANDU, March 27: Nepal has put up 181-run target against Pakistan U-23 team in the ACC Emerging Teams Cup being held at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium Academy Ground in Cox's Bazaar, Bangladesh.
Nepal scored 180 runs in 50 overs losing 9 wickets as Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first in the match.
Nepal began the innings with disaster as Skipper Gyanendra Malla and Sagar Pun got out early. Malla scored only 2 runs while Pun added just 4 runs. However, opener Sunil Dhamala put up a good show scoring 43 runs off 125 balls.
Sharad Vesawkar added 38 runs off 59 balls while Binod Bhandari hit 24 runs off 32 balls. Bhandari hit two boundaries and a six. Dependra Singh Airee scored just 14 runs off 29 balls while Aarif Sheikh remained not out at 18 runs off 30 balls.
Pakistani bowler Ghulam Mudassar claimed 5 wickets. Mudassar bowled 10 overs and gave away only 25 runs keeping a maiden over. Usama Mir claimed two wickets while Bilal Asif and Zafar Gohar picked one wicket each.
