Open Space Network (OSN) will be organizing the screening of 60 SIFF on Ap1 HD Television on 8 – 11 January from 8:30 pm – 8:45 pm. The screening is going to take place in partnership with Morango Films, a film making company from Pakistan, the initiator of the festival that started screening globally in 2013.

Forty 60 Second Films will be screened this year from all around the world. In this year’s competition, there were over 1,500 films from over 36 countries. Nepal alone had sent 22 films. Movies are produced on the prescribed theme- ‘Colors of Your Country’.

The platform provides a knowledge field for the global youth to display their work by capturing the challenges of their societies in just 60 seconds. 60 SIFF believes in developing local talent from the creative class through collaborative approaches to ensure a well-nourished pool of skilled resources.

Faija Parween, the Country Director of 60 SIFF for Nepal and Founder of OSN shares, “Creativity has no limitations. Young people can use 60 Second Films as a tool to advocate and promote citizen journalism.” The screening isn’t targeted to any age group but aims to educate, aware and inspire people.
