Nepal Samajbadi Party and Maoist Center to announce unity today

The Nepal Samajbadi Party (NSP), led by Ganganarayan Shrestha, and the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) are set to unify today.

KATHMANDU, May 26: The Nepal Samajbadi Party (NSP), led by Ganganarayan Shrestha, and the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) are set to unify today.


After former chairman Mahindra Rai Yadav withdrew from the unification process with the Maoists, Shrestha held a central committee meeting on Sunday under his leadership to reorganize the party.

NSP is a party that split from the Naya Shakti Party, led by former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.
