BIRATNAGAR, Nov 20: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala has said Kalapani and Lipulek are parts of Nepal's territory and their ownership can't be given to others under any circumstances.
Talking to media persons briefly at Biratnagar Airport on Wednesday, the General Secretary of the main opposition said that the party supported Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's commitment to safeguarding Nepali territory.
He further said that a provision of age limit in the Nepal Students Union (NSU) would be applied only after the upcoming convention.
Leader Koirala took time to inform that the party has been studying about the names of 11 people (from the then Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Democratic) before recommending them to be appointed as the party central members following the MJF-Democratic integration into the party.
According to him, it will not be appropriate to comment on the issue concerning the party leader Aftab Alam of Rautahat as the issue has already entered the court.
The NC leader claimed that the party has been getting good public support for the by-lection taking place in several parts of the country on November 30.
