Nepal’s cultures, heritages should be promoted at int’l level: PM Deuba

KATHMANDU, JULY 5: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that tourism should be promoted by promoting Nepal's culture and heritage at the international level.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the 12th Pragya Sabha of the Nepal Academy of Music and Drama held in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Prime Minister Deuba said the country's culture and heritage should be promoted at the international level.

He said that Nepal's unique identity would be established and tourism would flourish if it could be promoted at the international level. Stating that Nepal is a country rich in cultural diversity, he said that cultural diversity is an invaluable national heritage of Nepal.

He mentioned that the government is determined to develop Nepal as a beautiful garden of various colorful flowers by developing the language and culture of all castes, ethnicities and communities. Prime Minister Deuba said that the artists and writers have made invaluable contributions to the establishment and promotion of democracy. He said that emphasis should be laid on mobilizing the talents of the artists for national benefit. He said that the government would provide necessary assistance for the protection and promotion of art and culture.
