Nepal’s COVID-19 tally rises to 47,236 with 979 new cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, Sept 7: As many as 979 new cases of COVID-19 were detected across the nation in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has now reached 47,236.

According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the MoHP, 979 new cases were detected through 9,218 PCR tests conducted in various COVID-19 laboratories across the nation.

Likewise, Nepal recorded the recovery of 1,736 COVID-19 patients in the past 24 hours. So far 30,677 people have recovered from COVID-19. Similarly, 4,739 individuals are currently staying in various isolation centers across the country.

The health ministry also confirmed 11 more COVID-19 related deaths on Monday. With this the national COVID-19 death toll has jumped to 300.
