Nepal’s COVID-19 tally jumps to 121 as one more tests positive in Saptari

KATHMANDU, May 11: The number of total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nepal has reached 121 as one more patient was diagnosed with this deadly disease on Monday afternoon.

KATHMANDU, May 11: The number of total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nepal has reached 121 as one more patient was diagnosed with this deadly disease on Monday afternoon.


According to Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, assistant spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, an 18-year-old male from Dakneshwari Municipality-3 of Saptari district tested positive for the virus. The lab test conducted at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences confirmed that the boy had contracted the virus.

“His health status is normal and he is in contact with health personnel,” Dr Adhikari said in a press statement issued earlier today.  


Earlier today morning, 10 other COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Kapilvastu district.
