KATHMANDU, May 18: The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed nine more cases of COVID-19 disease on Monday morning.
The new cases include seven males (aged 21, 21, 23, 25, 25, 29 and 30) and a 28-year-old female from Ishnath Municipality-2, 3 and 6, Rautahat. Similarly, another 38-year-old woman from Karaiya Mai-5, Bara was also diagnosed with this disease at the Kathmandu-based National Public Health Laboratory earlier today.

With this, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nepal has climbed to 304. As of today, Nepal has two fatalities and 36 recoveries.
In recent days, Province 2 has witnessed a sharp rise in the number of COVID-19 cases. Most of them are imported cases, according to MoHP. As per the official figure, the province which borders India has reported 130 cases.
