KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Nepal recorded 12 more coronavirus-related deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) said on Friday afternoon.
This is the highest number of single-day deaths linked to coronavirus registered in Nepal, according to MoHP Spokesperson Jageshwar Gautam.

"Eight men and four women succumbed to novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours. With this, Nepal's coronavirus death toll has reached 195," he said.
One man each from Udayapur, Parsa, Dhanusha, Rupandehi, Kaski, Siraha, Jhapa and Chitwan died of COVID-19. The deceased aged between 51 and 83.
Two women (aged 56 and 65) died of coronavirus in Morang while one woman each from Bhaktapur and Makawanpur lost their lives due to virus. The deceased aged between 64 and 71.
