KATHMANDU, June 6: Nepal reported the 12th COVID-19 fatality on Saturday.
According to Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS), Jumla, the throat swab sample of a 58 years old man who died in home quarantine at Jagadulla Rural Municipality-3, Dolpa on June 2 has tested positive for COVID-19. His throat swab samples were collected at KAHS for the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests on June 4.
The deceased had returned from Surket on May 29. He had then stayed at home quarantine.
The KAHS has said that contract tracing is being carried out in Dolpa district as soon as possible despite the geographical difficulties.
