KATHMANDU, May 2: Nepal recorded nine new cases of COVID-19 along with 18 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Monday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
A total of 4,255 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, eight PCR and one antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.
38 new cases of coronavirus traced on Saturday
There are currently 211 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 209 are in self-isolation, two in institutional isolation, and one in ICU. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu valley recorded three cases of COVID-19 on the same day, of which, all cases were recorded in Kathmandu districts.
