Nepal records highest single-day recovery of 216 COVID-19 patients in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU, June 19: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has reported the recovery of 216 cases of COVID-19 on Friday.

KATHMANDU, June 19: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has reported the recovery of 216 cases of COVID-19 on Friday.


This is the highest single-day recovery from COVID-19 recorded in Nepal. With this, 1,402 patients of COVID-19 have recovered so far.


According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for MoHP, 50 patients of COVID-19 were discharged after recovery from Got Gaun Isolation Center including four from Bhojpur, 12 from Jhapa, nine from Morang and 15 from Sunsari and eight patients from Koshi Hospital including four from Jhapa, two from Sankuwasabha and two from Morang were also discharged after recovery.

Similarly, 41 COVID-19 patients from an Isolation Center Janaki, Banke and 39 from Alpamai Nursing Institution were also discharged after recovery today.


Likewise, 38 COVID-19 patients from COVID-19 Hospital Saptari, 30 from Darahi School, Rautahat, four from Jaleswar Hospital Mahottari, 13 from Sai Kaisan Isolation Center, Saptari and three from Provincial Hospital, Surket were discharged after recovery.


Of the 216 recovered today, nine are females and 207 are males.


The health ministry has also confirmed 426 new cases of COVID-19 taking the national COVID-19 tally to 8,274 today.
