KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Nine more coronavirus-related deaths were recorded in various parts of the country in the past 24 hours.
According to officials, one more COVID-19 related death was reported in Kathmandu on Thursday evening. A 65-year-old woman, who had tested positive for the virus, died while undergoing treatment at Kathmandu Medical College.

A 70-year-old man from Rupandehi died while undergoing treatment at Devdaha Medical College on Thursday evening. He had tested positive for virus earlier on Wednesday.
Likewise, a 59-year-old man from Bara died of coronavirus on Wednesday evening. His throat swab was collected and sent for COVID-19 test. His PCR report came out positive this afternoon.
Health Ministry spokesperson Jageshwar Gautam told at a virtual media briefing this afternoon that six people died of coronavirus in the past 24 hours. He said that one person each from Kathmandu, Makawanpur, Saptari and Parsa died of coronavirus. According to him, two men from Parsa also died of coronavirus.
With all the aforementioned deaths, the country's coronavirus death toll has reached 129.
