KATHMANDU, Sept 26: Nepal recorded 834 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday alongwith 1,279 recoveries and nine deaths, according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health and Population.
As many as 13,736 tests were conducted on Sunday. Of them, 730 PCR and 104 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus. As many as 6,036,401 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Sunday afternoon.

There are currently 19,142 active cases of COVID-19 across Nepal. Of them, 17,813 are in home isolation, 1,329 in institutional isolation, 368 in ICUs and 120 on ventilators. Similarly, 230 people are in quarantine.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 279 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 232 were recorded in Kathmandu, 23 in Bhaktapur and 24 in Lalitpur districts.
