KATHMANDU, March 16: Nepal recorded 82 new cases of COVID-19 along with 213 recoveries and zero death from the deadly virus on Wednesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 6,175 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 41 PCR and 41 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 4,611 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 4,498 are in self-isolation, 76 in institutional isolation, 31 in ICUs and six on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,950 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 16 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 15 cases were recorded in Kathmandu and one in Lalitpur districts.
