Nepal records 785 new cases, 888 recoveries and 12 deaths on Monday

KATHMANDU, Oct 11: As many as 888 people recovered from COVID-19 on Monday, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, Nepal recorded 785 new cases of COVID--19 and 12 deaths from the deadly virus on the same day.

There are currently 15,212 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 13,622 are in home isolation, 1,165 in institutional isolation, 314 in ICUs and 111 on ventilators. Similarly, 231 people are currently in quarantine facilities.

As many as 12,195 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Monday. Of them, 7233 were tested through the PCR method while 4962 with antigen tests.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 295 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 191 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 26 in Bhaktapur and 78 in Lalitpur districts.
