KATHMANDU, Oct 18: Nepal has recorded 591 new cases of COVID-19 along with 937 recoveries and nine deaths on Monday.
There are currently 12,253 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 10,847 are in home isolation, 1,027 in institutional isolation, 280 in ICUs and 99 on ventilators. Similarly, 229 are currently in quarantine.

As many as 9,697 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Monday. Of them, 7,654 were tested through PCR method while 2,043 with antigen tests.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 274 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 203 were recorded in Kathmandu, 30 in Bhaktapur and 41 in Lalitpur districts.
