Nepal records 591 new cases, 664 recoveries and two deaths on Thursday

KATHMANDU, Oct 28: As many as 664 people recovered from COVID-19 on Thursday, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, Nepal recorded 591 new cases of COVID-19 and two deaths from the deadly virus on the same day.

As many as 11,355 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Thursday. Of them, 8,848 tests were conducted through the PCR method and 2,507 through the antigen method.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 199 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 157 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 12 in Bhaktapur and 30 in Lalitpur districts.

Similarly, the total vaccine doses administered in the country stands at 15,520,880. Among the total population of 30,378,055, as much as 28.5 percent have been administered the first dose while 22.6 percent have been given both doses.
