KATHMANDU, March 14: Nepal recorded 58 new cases of COVID-19 along with 148 recoveries and zero deaths from the deadly virus on Monday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 5,418 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 50 PCR and eight antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.
There are currently 4,855 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 4,751 are in self-isolation, 68 in institutional isolation, 30 in ICU’s and six on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,950 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 26 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 25 cases were recorded in Kathmandu and one in Lalitpur districts.
