KATHMANDU, Oct 29: Nepal recorded 549 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday along with 569 recoveries and six deaths, according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 9,746 tests were conducted on Friday. Of them, 490 PCR and 59 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus. So far, 67,84,157 people have been administered full doses of COVID-19 across the country.

There are currently 10,471 active cases of COVID-19 across Nepal. Of them, 9,379 are in home isolation, 772 in institutional isolation, 242 in ICUs, and 78 on ventilators. Similarly, 212 people are in quarantine facilities.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 228 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 173 were recorded in Kathmandu, 24 in Bhaktapur, and 31 in Lalitpur districts.
