Nepal records 315 new cases, 201 recoveries and six deaths on Thursday

KATHMANDU, Dec 2: As many as 201 people recovered from COVID-19 on Thursday, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, Nepal recorded 315 new cases of COVID-19 and six deaths from the deadly virus on the same day.

As many as 11,403 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 298 PCR and 17 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 7,193 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 6,715 are in home isolation, 330 in institutional isolation, 110 in ICU’s and 38 on ventilators. Similarly, 98 are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,535 people have died from the virus across the country.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 156 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 99 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 15 in Bhaktapur and 42 in Lalitpur districts.

Similarly, the total vaccine doses administered in the country is 18,686,649. Among the total population of 30,378,055, as much as 33.3 percent have been administered the first dose while 28.2 percent have been given both doses.
