Nepal records 295 cases, 478 recoveries and two deaths on Saturday

KATHMANDU, Nov 13: Nepal recorded 295 new cases of  COVID-19 on Saturday along with 478 recoveries and two deaths, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). 

As many as 8,243 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 260 PCR and 35 antigen tests were tested positive for the deadly virus. 

There are currently 7,528 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 6,752 are in home isolation, 526 in institutional isolation, 193 in ICU’s and 57 on ventilators. Similarly, 98 are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,469 people have died from the virus across the country. 

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 118 cases of the virus on Saturday. Of them, 79 were recorded in Kathmandu, 6 in Bhaktapur, and 33 in Lalitpur districts.
