Nepal records 23 cases of COVID-19, 215 recoveries and zero death on Sunday

KATHMANDU, March 27: Nepal recorded 23 new cases of COVID-19 along with 215 recoveries and zero death from the deadly virus on Sunday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

As many as 5,222 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 15 PCR and eight antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 1,583 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 1,513 are in self-isolation, 45 in institutional isolation, 23 in ICUs and two on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.

Meanwhile, Kathmandu valley recorded eight cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, six were recorded in Kathmandu and two in Lalitpur districts.
