KATHMANDU, June 29: Nepal recorded 2,636 new cases, 4,348 recoveries and 20 deaths due to COVID-19 on Tuesday.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 7,259 PCR tests and 4,989 antigen tests were conducted on Tuesday. Of them, 1,728 PCR tests and 4,489 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has surged to 670,857 including 592,535 recoveries and 9,071 deaths.

There are currently 32,349 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 2,061 in institutional isolation, 649 in ICUs and 184 on ventilators.
The Kathmandu Valley recorded 458 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday. Of them, 302 were detected in Kathmandu, 56 in Bhaktapur and 100 in Lalitpur districts.
