Nepal records 2,476 new cases, 5,455 recoveries and 27 deaths on Friday

KATHMANDU, June 24: Nepal has recorded 2,476 new cases, 5,455 recoveries and 27 deaths on Friday.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 9,586 PCR tests and 4,765 antigen tests were conducted on Friday. Of them, 2,476 tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has surged to 661,841 including 576,413 recoveries and 8,945 deaths.

According to the MoHP, the number of active cases of COVID-19 in the country currently stands at 45794. They include 42,910 patients in home isolation, 2,884 in institutional isolation, 714 in ICUs, and 201 on ventilators.
