KATHMANDU, September 2 11: Nepal recorded 2,004 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday along with 1,846 recoveries and 16 deaths.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 10,658 PCR tests and 3,992 antigen tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,619 PCR tests and 385 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19. With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 case tally has surged to 850,208 including 721182 recoveries and 10,786 deaths.

There are currently 31619 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 2327 in institutional isolation, 544 in ICUs and 166 on ventilators.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 793 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. Of them, 541 were detected in Kathmandu, 152 in Bhaktapur and 100 in Lalitpur districts.
