KATHMANDU, April 22: Nepal recorded 18 new cases of COVID-19 along with 25 recoveries and zero death from the deadly virus on Friday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 3,651 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, nine PCR and nine antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 282 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 279 are in self-isolation and three in institutional isolation. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, The Kathmandu valley recorded five cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, four cases were recorded in Kathmandu and one in Lalitpur districts.
