KATHMANDU, Feb 27: Nepal recorded 111 new cases of COVID-19 along with 415 recoveries and one death from the deadly virus on Sunday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 9,710 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 94 PCR and 17 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.
There are currently 8,608 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 8,285 are in self-isolation, 232 in institutional isolation, 81 in ICU’s and 10 on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,935 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 36 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 30 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, three in Bhaktapur, and three in Lalitpur districts.
