Nepal records 1,369 new cases, 2,238 recoveries and 12 deaths on Thursday

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: As many as 2,238 people recovered from COVID-19 on Thursday, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, Nepal recorded 1,369 new cases of COVID-19 along with 12 deaths from the deadly virus on the same day.

As many as 11,880 samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 1,013 PCR and 356 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

There are currently 29,261 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 27,930 are in home isolation, 1,074 in institutional isolation, 225 in ICU’s and 32 on ventilators. Similarly, 133 are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,864 people have died from the virus across the country.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 329 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 235 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 30 in Bhaktapur and 64 in Lalitpur districts.
