Nepal records 1,239 new cases, 1,324 recoveries and 13 deaths on Thursday

KATHMANDU, Sept 23: As many as 1,324 people recovered from COVID-19 on Thursday, according to the latest information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. Similarly, Nepal recorded 1,239 new cases of COVID--19 and 13 deaths from the deadly virus on the same day.

There are currently 20,743 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 19, 437 are in home isolation, 1,306 in institutional isolation, 340 in ICUs and 111 on ventilators. Similarly, 246 people are currently in quarantine facilities.

As many as 15,243 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Thursday. Of them, 11,629 were tested through the PCR method while 3,614 through the antigen test.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 404 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 245 cases were recorded in Kathmandu, 52 in Bhaktapur and 107 in Lalitpur districts.
