Nepal records 1,030 new cases, 1,000 recoveries and 10 deaths on Monday

KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Nepal recorded 1,030, new cases of COVID-19 along with 1,000 recoveries and 10 deaths on Monday, according to the information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population. 

As many as 10,874 tests were conducted on Monday. Of them, 812 PCR and 218 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus. Similarly, 120,548 doses of vaccines against COVID-19 were administered on the same day. 

There are currently 17,155 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 15,534 are in home isolation, 1,152 in institutional isolation, 351 in ICUs and 118 on ventilators.

Likewise, 241 people are currently in quarantine facilities.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 366 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 266 were recorded in Kathmandu, 38 in Bhaktapur and 62 in Lalitpur districts.
