Nepal recorded 28 deaths, 3,122 new cases of COVID-19 in past 24 hours

More than 10,000 new cases recorded in past four days

KATHMANDU, April 25: Nepal recorded as many as 28 deaths related to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Of them, 16 breathed their last on Sunday.

The health ministry also recorded as many as 3,122 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. 

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 3,032 cases of COVID-19 were detected through PCR tests and 90 through antigen tests in the past 24 hours. 

As many as 9,292 PCR tests and 786 antigen tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.

Similarly, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 1,498 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours including 1,132 cases in Kathmandu, 270 in Lalitpur and 96 in Bhaktapur districts.

Likewise, the country has witnessed a sharp rise in the number of new cases in recent days. Nepal’s COVID-19 case tally increased by 10,332 just in the past four days.
