Assistant Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population Samir Kumar Adhikari said that 1.5 million doses of the vaccine against Covid-19 have been available recently and the work of administering it on a priority basis has also started.

Adhikari said that people who have not been vaccinated in the first dose will be given first priority and the rest of the citizens will be vaccinated on the basis of priority. He mentioned that coordination has been established so that the vaccines are available in the respective vaccination centers.

Adhikari said that citizens can get vaccinated easily by going to the vaccination center with a document revealing their identity. He also asked the citizens who are yet to be vaccinated and those who are yet to receive a booster dose to be vaccinated. Booster doses of Pfizer have been administered from Thursday at Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Hospital in Teku, Kathmandu.
