KATHMANDU, Oct 29: The Nepal Police Headquarters has directed its Cyber Bureau to initiate action against rapper Samir Ghising popularly known as ‘Vten’.

Following the release of Ghising’s new rap song, police have continuously received complaints against Vten for promoting vulgar language through his latest song - “PAARAA”.

The rap song, which was released on YouTube on October 24, has promoted offensive language, and used foul words against Nepal Police. The song has already been viewed more than a million times on YouTube, and is already on the top of trending.

“The Nepal Police Headquarters has directed the Cyber Bureau to take action against rapper Vten for promoting offensive language through his new rap song PAARAA,” according to Senior Superintendent of Police, Kuber Kadayat, who is also the spokesperson for Nepal Police.

“The rap song is full of obscene language, and is against the accepted social values,” he said, adding the headquarters has directed the Cyber Bureau to take action against the rapper at the earliest.

Police had arrested the rapper last year too for promoting obscene language through his song “Hami Yestai ta Honi Bro”.
