KATHMANDU, March 29: Nepal recorded 42 new cases of COVID-19 along with 86 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Tuesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 5,471 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 30 PCR tests and 12 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.
38 new cases of coronavirus traced on Saturday
There are currently 1,221 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 1,146 are in self-isolation, 52 in institutional isolation, 20 in ICU’s and three on ventilators. Similarly, 106 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,951 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded seven cases of COVID-19 on the day - three in Kathmandu and four in Lalitpur districts.
