Nepal logs 177 new cases, 41 recoveries and zero death on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, JULY 12: Nepal recorded 177 new cases of COVID-19 along with 41 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Tuesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

A total of 3,126 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 144 PCR tests and 33 antigens tests turned out to be positive for the virus. There are currently 873 active cases of COVID-19 across the country.

So far, 11,952 people have died from the virus across the country.

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley has 596 active cases of COVID-19. Of them, 525 cases are in Kathmandu, four in Bhaktapur and 67 in Lalitpur districts.
