Nepal Embassy organizes investment meet in Muscat

KATHMANDU, July 6: The Embassy of Nepal in Muscat, Oman organized a luncheon on the theme “Investment Prospects in Nepal” earlier this week at the “W Muscat Hotel” at Muscat in Oman.

During the function, a video was played with highlights of the speeches of the distinguished speakers including that Prime Minister KP Oli delivered in Nepal Investment Summit, 2019 held in March in Kathmandu.

At the function Nepali ambassador to Oman Sharmila Parajuli Dhakal elucidated the importance of investment in Nepal to realize the government's 'Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali' program.

She described about investment potential in various sectors including agriculture, energy, infrastructure, education, industrial infrastructure, urban infrastructure and transport infrastructure. She also informed the participants about the government initiatives to make legal, institutional and policy reforms and create investment friendly environment in the country.

Around 55 people including ambassadors of different countries and head of missions and some economic and trade counselors of various embassies based on Muscat attended the function. Also some special representatives from The Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (ITHRAA) Oman and State General Reserve Fund, Oman were present on the occasion.
