KATHMANDU, Feb 25: The Embassy of Nepal in Germany has issued a travel advisory for all Nepali nationals residing in Ukraine after civilian flights were temporarily restricted over Ukraine’s airspace following the escalating situation between Ukraine and Russia. The restriction has affected civilians trying to stay away from the conflict.

Evaluating the current situation, the embassy of Nepal in Berlin has requested Nepalis in Ukraine to stay indoors and follow the direction of the Ukraine government, colleges, universities, and companies. The embassy has also suggested people take a road or railway, if possible, to try and reach the western part of Ukraine where it is safer. The embassy has also directed them to carry their passports, identity cards, driver's license, bank cards with them and stay in contact with their friends, families, and the embassy.
Similarly, the embassy has directed Nepalis to approach the nearest bomb shelters in case they hair air sirens or bomb warnings. The embassy has also urged Nepalis to contact the Nepali embassy in Berlin for any assistance.
