KATHMANDU, Sept 12: Nepal defeated Sri Lanka by a wide margin of 6-0 in the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Cup.
In the match held at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu on Monday, Amisha Karki scored two goals. Similarly, Kumari Ghising, Saru Limbu, Amrita Jaisi and Dipa Shahi scored each goal while Sri Lanka could not score any goal during the match.
Earlier, Nepal defeated Bhutan 4-0 in the ongoing sixth edition of the SAFF Women’s Cup. With the win on Monday, Nepal leads Group-B and has entered the semifinal of the championship.
