Nepal defeat Ireland Wolves by 71 runs

KATHMANDU, March 26: Nepal have defeated Ireland Wolves in the second T20 practice match today.


Having won the first match by six wickets on Monday, Nepal defeated Ireland Wolves by 71 runs in the second T-20 practice match as well. 


Ireland Wolves lost all their wickets in 18.3 overs and scored only 127 runs while chasing the target of 199 runs posted by Nepal in the match held at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Tuesday.

Ireland's Stephen Doheny scored 26 runs, hitting 4 fours and a six off 13 balls. Morgan scored 21, Cade 18, Ross and Neil both scored 17, Fionn was out for five, and Gareth got out for 15.


For Nepal, Kushal Malla and Sompal Kami took three wickets each, while Karan KC, Kushal Bhurtel, and Bivek Kumar Yadav took one wicket each.


Nepal scored 198 runs, losing seven wickets in 20 overs. Gulsan Jha contributed 46 runs, hitting one four and four sixes in 32 balls.


Opener Kushal Bhurtel scored 25 runs with  two fours and two sixes, while Asif Sheikh made 11 runs with a four and a six.


Likewise, Anil Kumar Sah scored 12 runs with two fours, and Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel scored 33 runs with five fours. Kushal Malla scored 34 runs aggressively with a four and 4 sixes.


Simnilarly, Sandeep Zora scored 21 runs in 10 balls, and Bivek Yadav added seven runs not out.


Nepal played against Ireland as part of their preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup.
