Nepal's COVID-19 national tally reaches 886 with 114 new cases today

KATHMANDU, May 27: Nepal's COVID-19 tally has reached 886 with new cases 114 on Wednesday.

This is the first time the country has witnessed 100 plus COVID-19 cases in a single day.

At a media briefing, Dr. Bikash Devkota, the spokesperson for Ministry of Health and Population, said that 11 new cases were confirmed at Dharan based B.P. Koirala Institute of Health and Science, 17  persons tested positive for COVID-19 at Koshi Hospital and Hetauda-based lab reported 8 COVID-19 cases.

Similarly, four new cases at Pokhara provincial hospital, 18 new cases were identified at Dang based COVID-19 lab and 16 were reported from Bheri Hospital.

Likewise, National Public Health Laboratory, Teku, recorded 38 new COVID-19 cases today.

To date, 183 COVID-19 patients have discharged after recovery.
