KATHMANDU, Nov 17: Chief of the Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri has paid a courtesy call on President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Wednesday.
Dhaka based Nepali embassy has informed that they discussed bilateral ties, matters of mutual benefits and friendly relations between the armies of the two countries among other issues as well.
In the meeting, Army chief Chhetri expressed gratitude to Bangladesh for the support provided during the aftermath of last year's earthquake in Nepal.
It is stated that the Bangladesh President had expressed concerns on the post-quake reconstruction projects in Nepal.
Also present on the occasion were Nepali Charge de Affaires to Bangladesh Dhan Bahadur Oli and the military attaché among others.
Nepal Army chief Chhetri had left for Bangladesh on Tuesday at the invitation of chief of the Bangladesh Army, Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq.
Chhetri is scheduled to return home on November 20. RSS
