Nepal and Uganda establish diplomatic relations

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA) Nepal and Uganda have established formal diplomatic relations on Tuesday. Nepal's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Durga Prasad Bhattarai and Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Uganda Dr Adonia Ayebare signed a joint communiqué to this effect at a brief ceremony in New York, according to a press statement issued by Nepal's Permanent Mission in New York.

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA) Nepal and Uganda have established formal diplomatic relations on Tuesday. Nepal's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Durga Prasad Bhattarai and Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Uganda Dr Adonia Ayebare signed a joint communiqué to this effect at a brief ceremony in New York, according to a press statement issued by Nepal's Permanent Mission in New York. The number of countries with which Nepal has established diplomatic relations has now reached 145. Uganda, which joined the United Nations on October 25, 1962, is an East African country with a population of about 39 million. The two ambassadors also jointly informed Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres about the establishment of Nepal-Uganda bilateral relations.
