KATHMANDU, Sept 6: The sixth edition of Nepal Africa Film Festival-2017 is all set to begin from September 18 at Russian Center of Science and Culture, Kamalpokhari.
According to a press statement released by Nepal Africa Film Festival, the fest is being organized in collaboration with College of Journalism and Mass Communication (CJMC), Balkumari and Zanzibar Film Festival, Tanzania.
Oscar College to organize ‘Oscar Film Festival’
A total of nine films from 14 countries will be showcased during the festival. Film 'Dr Khatey' will represent Nepal at the festival. The movies showcased at the festival will have themes related to politics, culture, tourism and lifestyle of people in different parts of the world.
The press statement quoted Dr Manju Mishra, festival director/ principal of CJMC, as saying, “The festival aims at exchanging culture between Nepal and Africa, promoting tourism, and providing a different perspective of the world through the means of cinema."
The festival is slated to continue till September 20.
