The NEA has issued a notice today and warned local governments to settle the outstanding electricity tariffs accrued from street light usage. Failure to do so may result in the disconnection of electricity to street lights without prior notice.

Earlier, the NEA issued a warning on March 29 through a public notice to all local governments that the non-payment of dues and street lights installed without meters will result in the removal of those lights. The NEA urged local governments to formalize their status as NEA customers and ensure that street lights are equipped with meters.
